Come celebrate the season with downtown Luray, on Saturday, May 13th, for our 13th Annual Festival of Spring. Spend the day amidst the historic charm of this small town near Luray Caverns, at the edge of the Shenandoah National Park. Traditionally, this event falls on Mother’s Day weekend, making it a perfect outing to share and shop with family. During the festival, our Main Street comes alive with fine crafters, delicious food, drink and live entertainment. Relax in our wine garden and sample vintage pours from Virginia wineries while enjoying performances by local musicians. If hops and ales are more your taste, head over to the Beer Garden for more tastings and live acts. Don’t miss our local crowd pleaser, The Duck Race, when hundreds of toy ducks race down the center of town in Hawksbill Creek. Many local artisans and nonprofits participate in the festival, creating a true community experience. Children will be entertained with activities like a dog Frisbee competition, face painting, bounce house and train exhibits.
We invite you to spend the day or the weekend in Luray, which is located in the legendary Shenandoah Valley and offers an impressive selection of recreational activities, nearby major attractions and cultural history. Downtown Luray is a registered National Historic District, where festivals, performing arts, paved walking trails, an art museum and monuments are accessible year-round.
