Wood Glass Jr. was passionate about collecting, and he amassed some great treasures from the Regency era – think portraits, landscapes, and furniture that will make you feel like you have stepped back in time.
Back in the 1700s and early 1800s, artists from both sides of the Atlantic were all about sharing ideas and inspiration, and this exhibition celebrates that lively exchange. From a sofa fit for a queen (literally – it once belonged to Queen Charlotte of England!) to masterpieces by acclaimed artists like Sir Thomas Lawrence and Gilbert Stuart. The fun doesn’t stop there – have you ever seen a Lady’s Tambour Writing Desk made in Boston? Well, now is your chance! This beauty, crafted between 1793 and 1798, is attributed to none other than, John Seymour and Thomas Seymour, two talented gents born in England.
