Join us for the 55th Annual Page County Heritage Festival on October 12th and 13th, 2024!
It’s happening at the Page Valley Agricultural and Industrial Fair Grounds in Luray. This event takes place during the peak of the stunning fall foliage season, making it perfect for celebrating with family and friends.
The Page County Heritage Festival is a family-friendly weekend packed with fun for everyone! Over a hundred crafters will showcase their skills. You’ll see demonstrations of traditional crafts like spinning, crocheting, apple-butter boiling, oil painting, basket making, wheel-thrown pottery, and blacksmithing.
No fall festival is complete without delicious home-cooked food, and the Page County Heritage Festival is no exception. Enjoy mouth-watering BBQ chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, brown beans and cornbread, country ham, chicken & dumplings, funnel cakes, and a variety of other treats, all prepared by local civic organizations.
Enjoy a variety of live entertainment throughout the festival, all indoors with plenty of seating! This year, we are excited to welcome Spencer Hatcher, Virginia Rain Bluegrass Band, Isaac Stroupe, and The Lee Blanton Band.
And don’t forget the kids! There’s plenty for them to enjoy, including face-painting, a pedal tractor pull, a hay maze, a petting zoo, barrel train rides, and pony rides.
For tractor and engine enthusiasts, the festival’s Steam & Gas Engine Show is a must-see! Experience log sawing, feed grinding, wheat thrashing, hay baling, and corn husking, all powered by steam and antique tractors. Plus, check out the numerous small antique engines, automobiles, and tractors on display, all in working condition.
While you’re in Luray, take a tour of the nearby historic properties owned and operated by the Page County Heritage Association. These include the Calendine Museum, Hamburg Store, Mauck Meeting House, and Massanutten One-Room School. Tours are available both days of the festival. Proceeds from the festival help maintain these cherished properties.
The Page County Heritage Festival happens rain or shine, with plenty of free parking available. Bus groups are always welcome (advance notice is appreciated). Remember to book your stay early—Columbus Day weekend is a busy time in the Shenandoah Valley, with many charming cabins and bed and breakfasts in the area.
