Best known for his contemporary gospel songs: “Even in the Rain,” and “I’m Coming Home,” this local songwriter is also known for playing Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold” with guitar and harmonica and a very bluesy version of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” not to mention Kevin’s chilling song “At the Crossroads” about meeting the devil and walking away.
Born in Charlottesville and raised in Luray, Kevin Johnson toured in his youth as a one-man-band on the United States East Coast from New Hampshire to Florida and West from Oakridge, Tennessee to Denver, Colorado, and can’t remember a time when he didn’t love music.
Along with his wife, Carolyn, Kevin has produced four new albums since 2018 including “Our Americana Favorites,” “Sweet Spirit,” “Reach Out for Love,” and the latest, “Bluegrass 4U.”
But don’t go looking for Kevin’s music on Amazon. You can only purchase it at their live performances and at a few select locations around Page County, including Luray Caverns LVM Gift Shop.
