Celebrate fall at the 56th Annual Page County Heritage Festival, one of Virginia’s oldest and most beloved arts and crafts events. First held in 1970, this two-day celebration welcomes visitors each Columbus Day weekend with crafts, food, and history.

Crafts, Traditions, and History

More than 100 crafters and artisans will gather to demonstrate spinning, crocheting, apple-butter boiling, wheel-thrown pottery, basket weaving, oil painting, blacksmithing, and more. Period dress adds to the festival’s authentic, old-fashioned atmosphere.

Steam, Gas, and Gears

Don’t miss the Steam & Gas Engine Show. Watch as steam and antique tractors saw logs, thrash wheat, husk corn, bale hay, and grind feed. Restored antique cars, trucks, and small engines—all in working condition—will also be on display!

Flavors of the Season

You’ll find something for every craving here. Enjoy sweet treats like fried apple dumplings and fresh donuts or savory favorites like pulled pork sandwiches, country ham, and chicken & dumplings. Local civic groups prepare every dish, so your plate supports the community.

Live Music and Entertainment

Whether you’re tapping your toes to bluegrass, country music, folk, or Americana, the barn’s indoor seating guarantees a great show, rain or shine.

Fun for the Kids

Young festival-goers will love the barrel train rides, pony rides, hay maze, pedal tractor pull, petting zoo, and face-painting. There’s no shortage of activities to keep them smiling.

Explore Local Heritage

While you’re in Luray, take a short drive to visit some historic properties. Check out the Calendine Museum, Hamburg Store, Mauck Meeting House, and the Massanutten One-Room School. Proceeds from the festival help the Page County Heritage Association maintain these landmarks.
