There’s no better place to celebrate America’s independence than in Small Town, USA.

The Downtown Luray Annual Children’s Parade kicks off the Fourth of July at 10am at Inn Lawn Park. Deck the family in red, white, and blue and follow our big, festive fire engine as it winds through the streets of Luray.

For food, feel free to prepare your own traditional family picnic or consider grabbing a bite at one of our downtown diners for a tasty American treat. To keep you and your family cool throughout the day, complimentary refreshments will be provided by the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Start your day by heading to Main Street for Star-Spangled shopping and dining followed by the Downtown Get Down in Ruffner Plaza and the Greenway Mechanics Street lot from 5pm–9pm. Enjoy food trucks, games, and live music by Cazhmiere, Blue Ridge Rain, Raised on Analog and Low Low Chariot.

As the sun starts to set, head over to the banks of the Hawksbill Creek to watch the sky light up for our night-time fireworks display. Continue the patriotic celebration and enjoy the rest of a festive night with live music at Performing Arts of Luray’s outdoor patio, featuring Thundergun performing classic rock hits.
